The RSVP That Actually Delivered!
While Curve New York offered its usual parade of lace and labels, it was the invitation-only ‘Glamtini’ event that truly shimmered! Hosted in the velvet-draped back room of Sid’s Pour House in Flatiron, this burlesque-infused soirée was a sultry collaboration between the legendary Dita Von Teese and the cheeky innovators at Appeeling Pasties—a celebration of sparkle, sass, and unapologetic allure of burlesque dancer Dirty Martini.
At the unveiling of the Appeeling x Dita Von Teese pastie collection at ‘Glamtini’ burlesque party, guests were treated to a feast for every sense: trays of artful hors d’oeuvres, chocolate-covered strawberries, and an open bar pouring Sweet Gwendoline French Gin cocktails with names as flirty as the performers. The venue’s private karaoke lounge was transformed into a boudoir fantasy—think piano bar, gilded mirrors, and just enough neon to make you feel like you’d wandered into a Parisian speakeasy by way of West 26th Street.
The Appeeling x Dita Von Teese collaboration made a charming debut at the ‘Glamtini’ party, bringing playful glamour to Curve New York’s after-hours scene. As a pioneer of modern burlesque, Dita’s influence added hype and sparkle to the tassel collection, while Appeeling founder Andrea Galley—herself a breast cancer survivor and advocate for positivity and inclusiveness—brought heart and purpose to the designs. The pasties themselves were irresistible: powder puffs, heart shapes, and tassels that felt both cheeky and celebratory. A fun, thoughtful pairing that turned adornment into affirmation.
I founded Appeeling after overcoming multiple battles with breast cancer. The allure of pasties and the rich burlesque heritage that comes with them empowered me to truly embrace and love my body again. I fell in love with pasties – their artistry and transformative power – and through them, I have become a passionate advocate for body positivity.

Each pastie is a miniature performance: sequined crescents, velvet stars, and cheeky motifs that blur the line between accessory and attitude. Dita’s signature elegance met Andrea’s irreverent charm in a collection that reminded everyone that lingerie isn’t just fashion—it’s storytelling, seduction, and self-possession.
